Reblog–Twelve Best Cities in the World for Book Lovers

bookstore--vintageThis international list of cities from Readers’s Digest contains some surprises and some expected cities.  Any city that has a major Book Fair is probably on the list.  Other cities have wonderful bookstores (antiquarian used, and new), many famous authors, and/or the setting for many books.

  1. We don’t really have many bookstores here. My area in south Florida has a million and one different community complexes, some for retirees, some for the rich, others are for renters, etc. Each one basically has a lending-library in their clubhouse, plus we have city and county libraries – so book stores don’t usually last long when people have such a variety for free.
