This international list of cities from Readers’s Digest contains some surprises and some expected cities. Any city that has a major Book Fair is probably on the list. Other cities have wonderful bookstores (antiquarian used, and new), many famous authors, and/or the setting for many books.
I may have to retire to one of these cities!

Lovely dream. I’ve lived near DC, visited San Fran and Portland. Bucket list cities include London (visited but no lived)and Paris (need to visit).

We don’t really have many bookstores here. My area in south Florida has a million and one different community complexes, some for retirees, some for the rich, others are for renters, etc. Each one basically has a lending-library in their clubhouse, plus we have city and county libraries – so book stores don’t usually last long when people have such a variety for free.

As long as you can get the books you need for your blog, you’ll do ok. I like to visit bookstores, especially if they have a cafe.
