Althought not first, I was not last
I consider myself half fast.
My love is true and meant to last
I consider myself steadfast.
I had not eaten since some days past
Until I ate my break fast.
If from your perch you don’t want to slip passed
Tie a knot in your rope to holdfast.
I was ill, no laziness cast
I found myself to be bedfast
Red, white and blue are meant to last
I consider them colorfast
If you have been married some time in the past
Then you have been handfast
If you don’t want your boat to slip right passed,
To the buoy you want to makefast.
If on this list you want to cast
What else includes the word fast?
Very clever poem. Let’s see, maybe I can think a a few more: nefast, Belfast, and fastidious!

Ugh, faster? Fastest?
Really, can’t think of one
For my mind’s in a blast 🙂
