  1. I don’t often comment on the things you re-blog (they’re not your work, after all), but this one caught my fancy. It’s decent advice. I have some very talented friends, each in her own field and doing brilliantly.. If I look at how they spend time, I rarely see any day that stands out as “the day of the great breakthrough.” Most of their brilliance was developed and hardened by years of experience, one average day after another. The average just keeps slowly getting better. It’s good to be reminded that we shouldn’t expect to hit consistent home runs or publish blockbuster novels as one-time efforts. We get to that level by working at it every day, until success becomes normal and “average.”
