In 2020, you can relax
You have ’til July to pay your tax
July 15th is the newΒ due date
Procrastinators will still be late,
Since many of you are sitting at home
Go over your taxes with a fine-toothed comb
So when this is over you can go have fun
Because your tax work will already be done.
This is good inspiration. Thanks.

What will you do with your extra time? π

There is a long list of to dos. I’d like an extension for those.

The deadline in Canada is April 30th most years, but this year it’s been postponed until June 1st. Procrastinators are happy.

Thanks, Audrey. I learned something. But procrastinators will still file at the last minute .

Haha, yes, might as well pull at those hours stuck at home to good use!

Good one, GP. My car is doing close to that and gas prices are great right now so I do not fear refilling my tank for next month. π

I haven’t had to fill up my tank since who flung the chunk!

You have really good gas mileage, are doing an excellent job of staying home or are able to walk to where you need to get.

Or all of the above! π

When is income tax day in the UK?

Our tax year ends on 31st March, but I don’t have to complete a tax return, it’s all done through my employer so not something I have to think about π

I like your system. Even though our employer pays taxes on our behalf, we still need to file to either get a tax refund or to validate that we do not owe any other monies from savings accounts, state income tax refunds, etc.

Sometimes we luck up. But don’t wait until the next tax day to get started. π
