The Well’s Gone Dry

Bentonville--Well for of leaves at Cool SpringIt slaked the thirst of passersby

But now no longer,

the well’s gone dry.

In these  days of toil and strife

we still need hope,

the water of life.

If that wellspring also runs dry,

many will shrivel

up and die.

We need the living waters

to flourish and thrive

keeping ourselves and our hopes alive.

Happy 75th Anniversary celebrating the end of World War II.
