The Beaver Moon or the Frosty Moon are both names for this full moon. It will also feature the second lunar eclipse occurring early in the morning; a nearly-total eclipse with 97.4% of the moon’s diameter becoming immersed in the Earth’s dark umbra at 4:04 a.m. EST (0904 GMT).
Beavers busy preparing for winter before the water fully freezes Fur coats help ward off most brisk breezes

The hubster and I got up and watched the eclipse. We didn’t see any beavers, though.:-)

Great poem. Beavers have recently been reintroduced into some parts of the UK so you can see them in the wild. I was in bed for the lunar eclipse this morning!

Me too, Andrea. Glad the beavers have been reintoduced. Fortunately beaver hats have been long out if fashion.

Any other night I would have been plagued by insomnia. But that night I slept. Rare eclipse vs sleep. I think I’m pretty happy with the sleep. LOL. Big hugs.

The eclipse happened here between 11 p.m. and 1 a.m., I believe. Sadly, we were socked in and had to miss seeing it. Too bad.

Bummer. Have you experienced any of the floods that I had made international news recently?
