Nice one Pat. Ideologies have replaced common sense.

I don’t like it when ideology transcends logic. Lots of food for thought in this one, Pat!

Amen, Priscilla. I yearn for the good old days when we disagreed about policies and not reality.

“Ideology transcends logic”: unfortunately this happens here too

The news provides examples from most countries. Thanks for commenting. I keep thinking back to 1930s Germany, how Hitler came to power legally and it all went downhill from there.

Although we all have some kind of ideology, when ideology becomes a priority in one’s life, then a sense of logic, of tolerance, of co-existence goes out the window. And yes, due to the great proliferation of social media, misinformation, disinformation and lies abound. Very interesting points and a lovely poem Pat. All the best.

An excellent poem, Pat and you capture our new world exactly here … it is with sadness that logic and reason have become hijacked by ideologies. Real and actual discussions have become nigh impossible as a result … to the detriment of society as a whole.
