Stunning pics! Don’t want to stop looking at them, especially the first one from the window/ balcony. A gorgeous view to wake up too!
And I can’t make a guess ☹️
The last one looks like not-California trees, so that’s my guess. The cool thing about low December sun, the way it circles down instead of plunging to its death, is that sunsets last a beautifully long time.
As a fellow Virginian, I figured you would be correct, Priscilla. I like your description of how the sun sort of circles in December, which means it is very seldom out of our eyes.
I couldn’t guess because I don’t know California. Anyway, all the landscapes are beautiful. I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your family.
The first one.

John, that was taken from our balcony facing Mission Bay and the Pacific Ocean in San Diego, CA.

I’m guessing the last one–2020–was not in California.

I’ve always liked the sound of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

They are long, low and very old. Some geologists think they may be part of the Scottish highland. Beautiful and about 20 miles west from where I live.

It’s a mixed bag. Beautiful ocean and mountains. Mostly desert level precipitation almost every where.

Sam, it was the last one. The view from where we lived in Pacific Beach was fabulous and we are hoping to move back there.
