I have always been a QEII fan. Unlike most of today’s officials, I think she truly has the well being of her people in mind, even if many do not always agree with what she says or does.

All I’m going to say is that the older I’ve become, the more I’ve come to respect her, not just as a person, but as a figurehead that oversees a shambles of a so-called parliamentary democracy – and she never utters a word – at least not in public. When she does say something though, everyone listens.

Whatever one’s views on the institution of the monarchy I don’t see how anyone can dislike the Queen personally. I hadn’t heard the ‘famous’ ‘I think I’m allowed in’ quote from the Horse Show before.
