There is something amusing to me about the image of poets sucking inspiration from weather.

They sucked it along with the thick oppressive humidity. Glad it gave you a chuckle, JYP. If you have ever experienced a mid Atlantic or Southern summer, you’ll know what I am talking about.

Definitely. I blame it on the humidity. 🙂

The humidity was obsessive that day and most of us were sitting outside to be inspired by the beautiful scenery and quiet of the mountains. It gave me this spate of poems. Thanks, JM.

Lovely poem.
I’ll tell you something that is so strange and extraordinary: a few hours ago, before reading your post, I started looking on the net for the image of a poet with a pen in his hand. I was looking for an animated one, a gif, but I didn’t find anything that satisfied me. When I saw your image, I startled 😉💕

So glad you liked it, Luisa. I have had it a while and not sure where I found it. We really do share a cosmic muffin connection at some level.

You create a perfect image of poets at work, Pat. And a good collective noun too!

Well here in South Florida (SoFlo) humidity is always near 100% so there is a lot of it to suck up! Yet, not too many poets…
