Bacon is not just for breakfast anymore. (Note there are several days throughout the year to celebrate bacon–for many of us , it is just that tasty.)

Danya “D” Goodman and Meff “Human Cannonball” Leonard founded Bacon Day in 1997 as the one great day to bond everyone together.   

Did you know that Bacon was also

  • the last name of all of the above

      1. Turns out there is a plant-based bacon! It’s called MyBacon, made by a company called MyForest Foods in New York State. Not yet available in Canada, unfortunately.
        I don’t like industrial animal-based agriculture. I’d probably be vegan or at least vegetarian, but my husband cooks our suppers, and is diabetic, so meat is a must-have for him. And if someone cooks your dinner for you, it’s hard to refuse it. So, guilt.
